Whether you’re seeking a weekend escape or a meaningful travel experience, Ahsa Farmstay is more than just a stay—it’s a way of life.

The STAR of Sustainability

Ahsa Farmstay, an authentic family-operated organic working farm in Chiang Rai, Thailand, has been honoured with the prestigious 5-star certification from the Tourism Authority of Thailand's (TAT) Sustainable Tourism Acceleration Rating (STAR) project. This accolade recognises Ahsa Farmstay's commitment to sustainable tourism practices that align with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The STAR project evaluates tourism enterprises across four key dimensions: economic, social, environmental, and good governance. Achieving a 5-star rating signifies that Ahsa Farmstay has successfully implemented comprehensive sustainability measures across these areas, contributing to Thailand's vision of promoting responsible and eco-friendly tourism.

Nestled amidst lush rice fields, Ahsa Farmstay offers guests an immersive experience in traditional Northern Thai rural life. Visitors can engage in activities such as rice planting, rubber tapping, and cooking classes featuring Lanna cuisine, all while staying in elegantly designed accommodations that reflect vernacular architecture. The farmstay's dedication to preserving cultural heritage and supporting the local community has been recognised with awards, including being a finalist at the World Architecture Festival 2019.

This 5-star certification from TAT's STAR project further solidifies Ahsa Farmstay's position as a leader in sustainable and responsible tourism in Thailand.

Save the water
The water you use comes from underground sources, filtered and treated for safe use. To conserve this precious resource, we have chosen water-saving facilities and kindly ask for your cooperation in using water responsibly.
Towels, bed sheets, and other linens will be replaced only upon request.

Say no to single-use items
Avoiding single-use packaging helps us reduce daily waste. We encourage you to bring your own cup or use reusable containers.
Shower caps, cotton buds, toothpaste, and other amenities are available upon request.

Save energy
Our rooms are designed for optimal airflow during the day and can be fully enclosed for privacy. We do not pre-cool the rooms with air conditioning to allow guests the choice of enjoying the natural breeze or turning on the A/C for their comfort. Hallway lights will be turned off after 10 PM, but solar lights will still provide illumination.

Reduce Reuse Recycle
We separate our waste so it can be reused. Please sort your trash and place each type in the designated bins.
If you are unsure, please ask a staff member before disposing of anything.

Respect cultural diversity
Guests are kindly asked to dress appropriately, avoiding nudity while visiting the village. For personal photography, please ask for permission first, as the nearby community is a hill tribe with a distinct culture. Please avoid making loud noises and show respect for the area.
